Uses
Great for vessels or buildings that have a phone switch (PBX) or cordless phone.

Great for emergency management.
How?
Simply use an RJ-11 (standard telephone) cable to connect the Sailor SC4000 unit to a PBX trunk card or a cordless phone.  Now you have the freedom to use the satellite phone from the comfort of your salon, bridge, stateroom, office, conference room or anywhere on your vessel or in your office building.

When calling from Iridium phone to Iridium phone, the call never goes through the public telephone network. Therefore if lines are down, you can remain in contact.
